Category-wise Vacancies

Age relaxation for all posts: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years, Ex-Servicemen Up to additional 10 years to the extent of service rendered in Defence Forces plus 3 years, with minimum 6 months service at a stretch.

Who Can Apply for RRC NR Recruitment 2026?

Other conditions:

• Must meet physical fitness standards under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992
• PwBD candidates must apply against slots notified for their type of disability
• Application must be filled in English or Hindi
• Only one application per candidate; multiple applications are all rejected
• Must apply to a cluster and unit where slots for own ITI trade are notified

Who Cannot Apply for RRC NR Recruitment 2026

• Candidates whose 10th or ITI result is awaited on 06/11/2026
• Candidates debarred for life by RRB/RRC, or debarred for a period not yet completed
• Ex-servicemen who already joined Govt. civil service after availing ex-servicemen status (for age relaxation)

Act Apprentice – Cluster Firozpur (FZR) (740 posts)

Qualification required: 10th with minimum 50% aggregate marks and ITI in the relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT). Age limit: Should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age. Pay: As per extant rules applicable.

Act Apprentice – Cluster Moradabad (MB) (63 posts)

Qualification required: 10th with minimum 50% aggregate marks and ITI in the relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT). Age limit: Should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age. Pay: As per extant rules applicable.

Act Apprentice – Cluster Ambala (UMB) (979 posts)

Pay and Terms of Engagement

Period of training and stipend as per extant rules applicable.

• Selected candidate (or guardian if minor) must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship Training
• No right to absorption in Railway after training; employment not obligatory for either side
• No hostel accommodation; released on completion of training

• Consolidated ITI mark sheet of all semesters / Provisional National Trade Certificate with marks
• National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT with mark sheet

• Discharge or serving certificate for Ex-servicemen quota applicants

How to Apply for RRC NR Recruitment 2026 Online

1. Open the link “Engagement of Act Apprentice” ONLINE Application on the RRC website www.rrcnr.org.
2. Register with Name, Father’s Name, Community, Category, Mobile no., Email ID and Date of Birth.
3. Get the login password on the given email ID and by SMS on the registered mobile number.
4. Log in, fill the Application Form, pay the online fee (except exempted categories) and upload documents.
5. Upload photograph, signature and thumb impression, each 10 to 50 KB in jpg format, and the certificates.
6. Submit finally and print the application and fee payment slip for your record.
7. Apply on or before 11 December 2026.

Other Points to Note

• Merit list expected to be displayed in February 2027
• Training slots are provisional and may increase or decrease
• No change allowed in the application after final submission
• No TA/DA or accommodation for appearing in the process
• Document Verification place and time will be given on the E-Admit Card on the RRC website
• No request to change division or unit will be entertained
